Everything started while I was still a child in Brasil. Born and raised in a very small town, I was about 12 when started working for this company called Estrela. I used cut threads, finalizing the clothes for them. There, I learned how to sew and quickly became a pattern maker for the company. In Estrela I learned everything about sewing, fashion, clothing production. As I got older I moved to a bigger city in Brasil, where I founded my owned clothing manufacture business, producing children's clothes. My store names where Tita Rio located in Salvador, Bahia and Flaluma which was located in Sao Paulo. In 1994, my husband, my 3 children and I moved to the USA. Shortly, in the city of Marlboro, MA I set up my own tailor shop where I used to serve the entire town. In 2009 my husband had a stroke and we decided to scape from the cold. Therefore, we moved to Florida striving for a better life quality. Here, we founded "Gomes Tailor Services". We started working with clothing production, producing clothes for other brands. Besides, doing clothing alteration for local customers. My husband was my 2nd hand, by this point he also knew how to sew. We started working together and he helped me with everything. Sadly, in 2017 he had a second stroke, this time we were not very luck. The stroke made him paralyzed and not able to speak. At that moment, my two daughters stoped what they were doing, to come help me with the business and also with their father who became bed bond. Today, we work as a family and we've been in this journey for about 5 years. Striving together to better serve our community with excellence and quality work.
